Everything distributed

DECODE consortium partner Dyne.org, and Synple, sponsored an event in Amsterdam on the 27th July with Christian Weilbach a.k.a @whilo.  Weilbach profiled Replikativ, a clojure library implementing a rich set of eventually consistent, replicated data types (CRDTs).

The agenda was:

  • 18:30 Doors open / pizza
  • 19:00 Christian Weilbach: Distributed systems made simple
  • 19:45 TBD

The event looked at how eventual consistent datastructures can be combined with Clojure's consistency to design decoupled distributed systems which significantly reduce the state space and yield robust, always available (offline) state management. The talk included an in-depth look at some of the architectural decisions and how to build cross-platform stacks with Clojure and ClojureScript.
